Our canteen is open every day and provides a selection of delicious hot and cold options.
The food is sold at very reasonable prices and all profits support Joey’s.
Volunteering provides an opportunity for parents, carers and grandparents to be involved in the school and the Joey’s community.
There are a number of different ways and times that you can help out in the canteen. Whether you can help out once a month, or on an occasional basis, we would love to hear from you. You do not need to have any experience as there are a variety of jobs that need to be done from making lunches, washing up, preparing daily items to serving the students at the counter. You will be sure to find something you can feel comfortable doing.
With at three volunteers needed every day there is a great opportunity to make new friendships as well as supporting the school.
While hours are flexible generally volunteers assist from 9:00am until approximately 2:00pm. Tea, coffee, morning tea and lunch are provided to you on the day.
If you are interested in volunteering, please call our Canteen Manager, Donna Niceforo on 4230 8580 during school hours.
If you volunteer at St Joseph’s, please click here for important information regarding Working With Children Checks.
A reminder to all Canteen volunteers, it is a requirement that you wear closed in shoes and have your hair tied back. Hairnets and hair ties are available from the canteen. If you are unable to attend your rostered day please phone the Canteen direct on (02) 4230 8580.
