St Joseph’s places a strong emphasis on sport. Sport presents students with challenges both within the school, and also in the wider community. Participation assists students to reach their full physical, social, emotional and cognitive potential. We are proud to offer a range of sporting opportunities, alongside high quality sporting facilities. For further information regarding either school or representative sport please contact us via the information at the bottom of this page. For information regarding our Elite/Aspiring Athlete Program, please click here.
Please be aware that for all Diocesan Gala Days the Diocese has a policy that all students attending must be in full school sports uniform. Students not in sports uniform (unless wearing another uniform while competing) will not be allowed to attend the event. Please keep this in mind, especially seniors, when considering uniform purchases.
When representing St Joseph’s in team sports (Rugby League, Soccer, AFL, Hockey etc) we provide uniforms for students to play in. We ask that students provide their own socks to play in which are Navy and Sky Blue hoops which can be purchased from the uniform shop.
Students interested in attending NSWCCC trials will need to complete an expression of interest or registration on the NSWCCC website. Information regarding this process for can be found on the Rep Sport section of our school website and all parents and students are encouraged to look at this information to ensure you do not miss any opportunities.
NOTES AND PAYMENTS
Permission notes for all sporting activities must be completed as soon as possible and payment returned to school. Please note we cannot allow students to attend sporting events if their permission notes are not signed by the due date.
