Vocational Education Training

Vocational Education and Training in schools offer students practical learning, introduces them to the world of work and provides employability skills. Students undertaking a VET course at our delivery site are able to gain nationally recognised skills and qualifications that can lead to further study at TAFE and/or university or directly to a job. It expands post-school options.

VET courses allow Students to gain both Higher School Certificate qualifications and accreditation with industry and the workplace as part of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). The national framework is recognised across Australia and helps students to move between the education and training sectors and employment. These courses have mandatory work placement. Clients receive special documentation showing the competencies gained.

Courses in the VET Curriculum Frameworks can be studied as Preliminary and/or HSC courses. The 240 hour courses offered by our delivery site can be included in the calculation of the ATAR only if the client undertakes the written HSC Examination for that course.
