Religious Education is central to our philosophy and students learn about their faith thoughout their time at the school.

Learning in Religious Education

Religious Education is central to the life of St Joseph’s Catholic High School. Aligned with Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong and NESA-approved syllabuses, students explore faith, spirituality and ethical living.

Stage 4 and Stage 5 (Years 7–10)

Students learn about:

  • Scripture and Church tradition
  • Moral decision-making
  • Social justice and service
  • Catholic identity and values

Stage 6 (Years 11–12)

Senior courses may include:

  • Studies of Religion I
  • Faith in Action (Active Volunteering)

Students engage in theological inquiry, critical analysis and ethical reflection.
